At Spectrum, we provide reliable connectivity, mobile and cloud communication services, powered by modern technology and delivered with a personal, human approach.
Our team works closely with organisations across the UK to understand their needs, solve complex challenges and deliver solutions that keep people connected, productive and secure.
Spectrum was founded by Simon Holt in 1996, during a period of major change in UK telecoms. Built on strong supplier partnerships (including an early Orange UK distributor agreement) and a focus on client support, the company grew steadily through the 2000s—expanding its product range, securing its first major public-sector contract with The Royal Free Hospital NHS Trust, and gaining greater control over service and pricing through an in-house billing platform and BT wholesale agreement.
By 2013, this growth led Spectrum to a new Head Office in Burton Upon Trent, centrally located to support organisations across the UK. Since then, the company has grown from a fixed-line and mobile specialist into a broader technology partner covering connectivity, cloud, IT and cyber security—while maintaining the same ownership, stability and hands-on account management since day one.
Today, with decades of experience and a people-first approach, Spectrum is a trusted technology partner helping UK businesses, charities and multi-site organisations prepare for the future.
At Spectrum, we’re committed to operating responsibly and reducing our environmental impact across everything we do. From low‑carbon travel to renewable energy and smarter resource use, we take a holistic approach to sustainability that supports both our people and the planet.
Our head office uses on‑site solar generation, reducing carbon emissions and powering our facilities sustainably.
Our entire company vehicle fleet is electric, and we actively encourage greener travel alternatives, including train travel and cycle‑to‑work schemes.
We use renewable energy when solar isn’t available and have implemented energy‑ and water‑efficient systems throughout our workplace.
We promote extend‑reuse‑recycle practices across all technology equipment and provide accessible recycling points for staff.

Our team receives carbon literacy training to help everyone make informed, environmentally responsible decisions.
We act with honesty and transparency, building trust through doing the right thing.
We care about what we do and who we support, driving us to deliver exceptional service every time.
