BT have agreed to the purchase of EE for ￡12.5 billion, subject to regulatory approval.
The deal is not yet completed as it will now be reviewed by regulators. EE expect the regulatory review to take much of this year and possibly go into next year.
Should the deal go ahead, this will open an exciting new chapter for BT.
BT and EE would become the UK¹s biggest telecommunications company. By bringing together their mobile and fixed line services in the UK, they’ll be able to provide a unique offering, continuing to make things better for UK customers.
