SuperCharge your internet with the SuperConnected Cities Connection Vouchers Scheme
Government vouchers of up to £3,000 are now available to pay for upfront internet connection or upgrade costs in selected cities. So now you can step up to superfast fibre optic business broadband, or give your organisation a dedicated leased line or ethernet connection with speeds up to 1Gbit/s both up and down.
We all know the benefits of superfast connections, making a business more efficient, cheaper to run and encouraging business growth. But sometimes, upfront costs can create cash flow issues for small businesses. To help out, budget has been allocated to 22 city councils.
The Government wants SMEs to benefit from 30Mb+ speeds, so will be offering them
from £250 and up to £3,000 towards connection and any construction charges.
The 22 SuperConnected Cities in the programme are Aberdeen, Belfast, Birmingham, Bradford, Brighton and Hove, Bristol, Cambridge, Cardiff, Coventry, Derby, Derry/Londonderry, Edinburgh, Leeds, London*, Manchester, Newcastle, Newport, Oxford, Perth, Portsmouth, Salford and York.
How to get your voucher
1. Check that you qualify for a voucher (see Can I Apply?).
2. Get a quote from a supplier. Contact Spectrum today on 0844 856 3301.
(Our quotes make it easier for you as we’ve structured them to meet the various checks and conditions of the scheme.)
3. Send the quote to your local City Council and they’ll give you the green light to go ahead with your preferred supplier. Alternatively, get back in touch with Spectrum and we can do the hard work for you.
Once you’ve got your superfast connectivity up and running the City Council will pay us directly for the value of the voucher, while you settle any other charges and, of course, handle the VAT as usual.
